What are the costs and fees associated with investment in investment trusts?

Answer

<Costs and fees>
(1) Asset management fee
This is a fee for investment and management. It applies to all investment trusts. A certain percentage of the asset balance is deducted daily during the holding period. Net asset value per unit and returns released to the public are calculated after deducting asset management fee.

(2) Partial redemption charge
This is a fee incurred upon selling. It applies to some investment trusts. When selling an investment trust, the stocks, bonds and the like held in the trust are sold, and the seller bears the costs of such sale.
*The fee is also charged for some products upon purchase.

(3) Sales charge
This is a charge paid to a distributor upon purchase of an investment trust.
Sales charge does not incur in defined contribution pension plans.
