What is cash awaiting settlement shown in the asset balance?

Answer

“Cash awaiting settlement" is shown when there are funds in the process of transactions or uninstructed individual assets.

(1) In the case of funds in the process of transactions
It is shown when there are funds in the period from the time contributions or rollover assets are received until an investment product(s) is purchased and transaction is settled, or in the period from the settlement date of the sold product to the settlement date of the purchased product when switching. It refers to the funds that are waiting for the completion of settlement for the purchase of investment products.

(2) In the case of uninstructed individual assets
If investment instructions are not provided when contributions are made, contributions will become “uninstructed individual assets” and will appeared as “cash awaiting settlement". In order to invest uninstructed individual assets, you need to purchase an investment product(s) through switching instructions.
