For "Type of eligibility", there are the following five types.

<Individual-type DC (iDeCo)>
There are two types of eligibility in an individual-type DC (iDeCo): "investment instructor (with no contributions)" and "participant (with contributions)”.

■ Participant in an individual-type DC
It refers to those who are making contributions.

■ Investment instructor in an individual-type DC
It refers to those who do not make contributions and only invest pension assets, and those who are receiving benefits.

<Corporate-type DC>
In a corporate-type DC, the implementing organization is your company, which registers a new corporate-type DC account and sets up company contributions.

■ Participant in a corporate-type DC
It refers to those who are making monthly contributions.

■ Investment instructor in a Corporate-type DC
It refers to those who do not make monthly contributions and only invest pension assets, and those who are receiving benefits.

■ Others in a Corporate-type DC
It refers to those whose company completed the procedures to terminate their participant eligibility (registration of retirement) due to retirement under the age of 60, etc.
In principle, rollover procedures are required to transfer pension assets to a corporate-type DC or an individual-type DC (iDeCo), etc.  Please refer to this FAQ.
