I received an email informing me of an update of "Account Statement." What is this?

Answer

The "Account Statement for Defined Contribution Pension Plan" is a report on the asset balance and transaction status as of the statement date.
 
It is issued on a regular basis, but the timing varies depending on the plan you are enrolled in.
 
<”Account Statement" (regular issue)>
A notification will be sent to the email address registered on the AnswerNet when an "Account Statement" is updated. Please log in to the AnswerNet to confirm.
Subject: Notice of Update of "Account Statement for Defined Contribution Pension Plan"
 
* If you don’t know your login ID
Click "Confirm login ID" at the bottom of "Participant Login" screen on the AnswerNet and enter the required information.
If the information entered matches your registered information, your login ID will be sent to the email address registered on the AnswerNet.
 
If you want to change the receiving method from download (provided electronically) to “by mail”, please refer to this FAQ.

In addition to the regular issuance, we will send you a final "Account Statement" when your assets reach zero. We will send this to you when your assets become zero due to the receipt of benefits, or when your assets are transferred to another plan after losing participant eligibility in a corporate-type DC. This notice will be sent by mail.
